BASIC KNOWLEDGE OF 3D MODELLING
3D computer graphics can as well be known as 3D models. 3D model (in contrast to 2D models) are graphics that use a three-dimensional representation of geometric data (often Cartesian) that is stored in the computer for the purposes of performing calculations and rendering 2D images. Such images may be for later display or for real-time viewing.
In as much as the difference between 3D models and 2D models, they use the same algorithm calculations as vector graphics in the wire-frame model and 2D model raster graphics in the final rendered display. Furthermore, the dissimilarities between 3D model and 2D model are fuzzy, 2D applications may use 3D techniques to achieve effects such as lighting, and primarily 3D may use 2D rendering techniques.
Apart from the rendered graphics, model is enclosed within the graphical data file. Nevertheless, there are differences. A 3D model is the mathematical representation of any three-dimensional (either inanimate or living). A model is not technically a graphic until it is visually displayed. Due to 3D printing, 3D models are not confined to visual space. So therefore, the output of a 3D model is visual as a two-dimensional image through a process called 3D rendering, or used in non graphical computer simulations and calculations
Animating objects that appear in a three-dimensional space. They can be rotated and moved like real objects. 3D animation is at the heart of games and virtual reality, but it may also be used in presentation graphics to add panache to the visuals.
Geometry calculations: In 3D graphics rendering, the computation of the base properties for each point (vertex) of the triangles forming the objects in the 3D world.
WHY 3D MODELS
Sometimes you wonder “every pictures I see now seem to be computer graphics, because they’re so mind blowing. But is cool!” Apparently, yes! And sooner it will be. 3d graphics/models are imagination interpretation of a being by a means of computer system. That is, bringing to reality your mind's world (the pictures in your mind and special stunts into reality) to this present world, you can download some free computer 3d models/animations and graphics here. That is what 3d models/animations and graphics can do. Computer graphics is a big, elaborated of every item picture you can ever imagine. For instance, an ordinary pen could be design in 2d model or 3d model or rather, let’s say ordinary graphic work, in a way that when you see it, you’ve already fallen in love with it. I mean you feel like grasping the pen from the screen (if possible), or if any way of converting the pen from the paper work to real pen. This is the efficacy of 3d models; it could also be 2d models, or better say, computer graphics.
